Andy Fisher has asked for help identifying where this photo was taken. It is of his friend’s father, William ‘John’ Patey, born 1913. Before joining the Army John was a member of the 'Met Police'. He probably joined the Army in about 1938/39 aged 25/26 and went to one of the Royal Armoured Corps Training Regiments hence the mailed fist cap badge, the 52nd RAC Training Regt were based at Bovington! Once John's training was finished he joined the 6th Royal Tank Regiment.
