The Cove Restaurant was situated on Main Road. It was demolished many years ago. Finley’s now occupies the site.
The manageress of the Cove Restaurant in 1938 was Mrs Dora Hildegarde Eunice Silvester. Sadly in July 1938 she was violently and indecently assaulted by a soldier in the Tank Corps stationed at Lulworth Camp.
The Cove Restaurant was seriously damaged by fire on 3 April 1952.1
